TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in Basketball and Women's Golf.

FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events October 28-November 3)

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received recognition for their outstanding performance in athletic competition:

• FCSAA DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Julius Clark, Tallahassee State
• FCSAA DII Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Alex McCray, Florida State College at Jacksonville
• FCSAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Taylor Blackshear, Palm Beach State
• FCSAA Women's Golf Player of the Month: Samantha Paradise, Daytona State

• Men's Cross Country
  • DI: NJCAA rankings - (25) Eastern Florida State
  • DII: NJCAA rankings - (6) Daytona State, (20) Pasco-Hernando State, (25) Lake-Sumter State
• Women's Cross Country
• • DI: NJCAA rankings - (20) Seminole State
  • DII: NJCAA rankings - (10) Pasco-Hernando State, (21) Daytona State, (22) Gulf Coast State
• Volleyball
  • DI: NJCAA rankings - (1) Florida SouthWestern, (2) Miami Dade, (20) Daytona State, (RV) Eastern Florida State
    • Florida SouthWestern won the FCSAA DI Championship with a 3-0 win over Miami Dade. Both teams will move on to this weekend's Atlantic District Tournament in Spartanburg, S.C. Florida SouthWestern will play Region 10 runner-up USC Sumter while Miami Dade will face Region 10 Champion USC Lancaster. The winner of both matches will advance to the NJCAA DI Volleyball Championship.
  • DII: NJCAA rankings - (5) Gulf Coast State, (11) Pensacola State
    • The FCSAA DII Volleyball Championship will take place November 8-9 at Pensacola State College. The winner of the six-team event will advance to the NJCAA DII Volleyball Championship. You can watch all matches on the FCSAA Digital Network.
• Men's Soccer
  • DI: Eastern Florida State captured the Southeast District Championship with a 3-0 win over Miami Dade to punch its ticket to the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. The Sharks will wait on a potential at-large bid. 
• Women's Soccer
  • DI: Daytona State beat Eastern Florida State, 4-0, to win the Southeast District Championship and qualify for the NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship for the first time in school history. 
  • DII: Pensacola State is going to the NJCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championship for the first time after beating Cape Fear, 2-1, to win the South Atlantic District Championship.
