DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week

  • Shot 45.8 percent (11-of-24) from the field, 42.9 percent (6-of-14) from three and 68.2 percent (15-of-22) from the free throw line
  • Led the Eagles to two wins on the opening weekend
  • Hit a game-winning three at the buzzer to beat Southwest Mississippi (98-96), capping a 28-point night in the season opener

  • In his only game of the week, he recorded 29 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 72-64 win over Gordon (Ga.) State
  • Hit 7-of-9 shots (77.8 percent) from the floor, including a perfect 4-for-4 from three, and went 11-of-12 (91.7 percent) from the free throw line

Taylor Blackshear

  • Averaged 20.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 steals in two games
  • Shot 68.2 percent (15-of-22) from the field and 71.4 percent (10-of-14) from the free throw line
  • Hit 9-of-12 shots from the field en route to scoring 25 points (and had seven assists) in a 97-86 win over Daytona State in the season opener
  • Posted a double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds) in a 72-42 win vs. Catawba Valley
