Manatees surge into top ten of final NJCAA volleyball poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (October 29, 2014) - After climbing to No. 2 in the FCSAA Volleyball Coaches' Poll, State College of Florida was the big mover in the final NJCAA Division I Volleyball Poll for 2014.

The Manatees climbed five spots to No. 9, the biggest jump of any team in this week's rankings. 

FCSAA No. 1 Miami Dade College held its spot at No. 5 in the NJCAA poll. 

Mid-Florida Conference Co-Champions College of Central Florida and Santa Fe College rounded out Region 8's quartet of teams in the poll at No. 12 and No. 14, respectively. 

All four teams have qualified for the NJCAA District/FCSAA State Volleyball Tournament in Jacksonville, Fla., November 6-8.

In Division II, Pasco-Hernando State College remained No. 4 in the NJCAA poll. The Quistas are 35-4 and have qualified for the District P Tournament in Wilmington, N.C., November 7-8.
