TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in Baseball, Softball, and Women's Tennis.

FCSAA Weekly Awards

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received recognition for their outstanding performance in athletic competition:

  • FCSAA DI Baseball Player of the Week: Dawson Harman, Central Florida
  • FCSAA DI Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Daniel Hartley, State College of Florida
  • FCSAA DI Softball Player of the Week: Avery Velazquez, Eastern Florida State
  • FCSAA DI Softball Pitcher of the Week: Anyela Gomez, Chipola
  • FCSAA DII Baseball Player of the Week: Michael Vazquez, Palm Beach State

  • Men's Basketball
    • The FCSAA inducted its newest members of the Men's Basketball Hall of Fame during last week's FCSAA DI Basketball Championships.
    • DI: Pensacola State won its first FCSAA Championship since 1993 and earned the No. 10 seed at the NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Championship. The Pirates will be joined in Hutch by at-large entries Daytona State (No. 8 seed) and Chipola (No. 13 seed).
    • DII: Florida State College at Jacksonville earned the No. 9 seed at the NJCAA DII Men's Basketball Championship in Danville, Ill., and will open tourney play against No. 8 seed Davidson-Davie at 2 p.m. eastern on Tuesday, March 18.

    • DI rankings: (3) Northwest Florida State, (5) Florida SouthWestern, (10) Indian River State, (12) Gulf Coast State, (15) Central Florida, (RV) Polk State
    • DII rankings: (2) Pasco-Hernando State, (7) South Florida State, (11) St. Johns River State
  • Softball
    • DI rankings: (1) Florida SouthWestern, (2) Northwest Florida State, (4) Indian River State, (6) Miami Dade, (8) Seminole State, (11) Daytona State, (17) Eastern Florida State, (23) Chipola, (24) Central Florida
      • PERFECTION! Daytona State's Kaylee Martineau tossed a Perfect Game in the Falcons' 9-0 win vs. Polk State!
    • DII rankings: (2) St. Johns River State, (21) Lake-Sumter State
  • Women's Tennis: In the only FCSAA head-to-head match of the week, Eastern Florida State topped St. Petersburg, 6-3. 
  • Men's Golf: Eastern Florida State placed third at the Glenlakes Invitational, behind a final round +3 (291).
  • Women's Golf: Eastern Florida State tied for fourth at the Space Coast Collegiate Championships, led by sixth-place finisher Mila Tang; Palm Beach State participated in the Kona Ice Keiser Cup and placed fourth
  • Track & Field: Lake-Sumter State took a total of six participants to the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Lubbock, Texas
  • Beach Volleyball: Palm Beach State ran its winning streak to 10 with a 5-0 win over Florida State College at Jacksonville; State College of Florida picked up wins vs. Sandhills and St. Johns River and Aleksandra Wrobel and Addison Beaver moved up to No. 2 and No. 5, respectively, in wins
