DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Karmello Branch

  • In his lone game of the week, he recorded 24 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and one block
  • Shot 46.7 percent (7-of-15) from the field, 40.0 percent (4-of-10) from three and 75.0 percent (6-of-8) from the free throw line
  • Against St. Petersburg, he hit the game-tying field goal to force overtime then nailed the game-winner in the Saints' 81-80 victory

Aiden Fletcher

  • Averaged 25.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 2.5 steals in two games
  • Shot 59.5 percent (22-of-37) from the field and 30.8 percent (4-of-13) from three
  • Helped FSCJ to a 2-0 week, winning by an average of 28.5 points
  • Scored 24 points vs. Florida Gateway and 27 points vs. Pasco-Hernando State in just 51 total minutes on the floor

Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Kanija Daniel

  • In her lone game of the week, she helped Chipola remain unbeaten with a 67-57 win over top-ranked and previously unbeaten Northwest Florida State
  • Recorded 25 points, seven rebounds, two assists and three blocks in the win
  • Shot 42.9 percent (6-of-14) from the field, 50.0 percent (4-of-8) from three and 81.8 percent (9-of-11) from the free throw line

  • Hit safely in each game, helping the Commodores to three wins
  • After going 1-for-3 vs. Central Florida in her collegiate debut, she was a perfect 3-for-3 with two home runs and five RBI vs. Santa Fe
  • Was 1-for-2 with a homer and three RBI vs. Rend Lake then added two more hits vs. Hillsborough

  • In her collegiate debut, she tossed a five-inning perfect game with 10 strikeouts in the Titans' 8-0 win vs. USC-Union
  • Tossed a two-hit shutout in a 6-0 win vs. Tallahassee State
  • Preserved a 1-0 victory vs. Rend Lake with a four-out save
  • In 13.2 total innings in the circle, she allowed only three hits, walked none and struck out 16

  • Hit safely in each game as the Panthers opened the season with four straight wins
  • On Opening Day, he went 2-for-4 and doubled in both games of a doubleheader vs. St. Petersburg and Seminole State

  • Batted .647 (11-for-17) with eight runs scored, two doubles, four home runs and seven RBI in four games
  • Hit safely and scored in each game, helping the Vikings to three wins
  • Homered in her first three games, highlighted by consecutive 4-for-5 games vs. Eastern Florida State and Georgia Military 
  • Finished the weekend going 2-for-4 and scoring twice vs. Santa Fe
