TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 5, 2015) - The Florida College System Activities Association has released the bracket for the 2015 NJCAA District/FCSAA State Volleyball Tournament.
The tournament will take place November 6-8 at the Gulf Breeze Community Center in Gulf Breeze, Fla., and is hosted by the Pensacola Sports Association.
Eight teams will be vying for two guaranteed berths to the NJCAA Tournament in Casper, Wy., later this month. A third team will have an opportunity to earn a berth through a playoff match with a team from Alabama.
The double-elimination tournament begins Friday, November 6 with a 10 a.m. match between Mid-Florida Conference rivals Central Florida and Santa Fe. The winner gets the winner of Friday's second match between Southeren Conference Champion Indian River State and Polk State. Hillsborough and Daytona State play at 10 a.m. Friday and will be paired with the Pensacola State-Palm Beach State meeting.
On November 7, the survivors of the two winner's bracket games will earn a national tournament berth. The loser's bracket determines the team who will advance to the District P Championship opposite a team from Alabama.
All tournament games will be broadcast online.
