PANAMA CITY, Fla. - The Gulf Coast State College Athletics Department proudly announces the addition of women's cross country to its program, set to launch in the Fall 2024 semester.

The decision to incorporate women's cross country aligns with Gulf Coast State College's ongoing commitment to providing diverse opportunities for student-athletes. This milestone marks the first expansion of its athletics program since the introduction of volleyball in 1998.

"We're excited to integrate women's cross country into our athletics program," said Mike Kandler, GCSC Athletics Director. "This addition is just an example of our dedication to offering a well-rounded collegiate experience for our students and student-athletes."

Recruitment efforts for the inaugural team are underway, and more information will be provided at a later date for student-athletes interested in joining.

The College looks forward to the positive impact the women's cross country team will bring to both the athletic program and the broader campus community.
