CHARLOTTE, N.C. (September 14, 2022) - The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced its Player of the Week awards on Wednesday.
Among the recipients is Florida Gateway College's Kayla DesMartin, who was named NJCAA Division II Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
DesMartin, a sophomore from Branford, Fla., was the top NJCAA finisher at last Saturday's Eastern Florida State College Classic.
Finishing 23rd overall, DesMartin posted a 5K time of 21:14.8.
She was named NJCAA Region 8 Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Tuesday.
