
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The NJCAA announced its Weekly Awards on Wednesday and Hillsborough Community College's Eimy Domenech was named the Division I Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
Domenech, a sophomore libero from Orlando, Fla., averaged 5.8 digs over 17 sets played last week. She also averaged 0.4 assists and 0.6 service aces.
She helped Hillsborough to wins in three of its five matches last week, recording 16+ digs in each.
Domenech began the week with 16 digs against Miami Dade. Later in the week, she posted 22 digs vs. North Central Texas and finished the week with 25 vs. Wharton County.
On Tuesday, Domenech was named FCSAA Division I Defensive Player of the Week.
