
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The NJCAA announced its Weekly Awards on Wednesday and Santa Fe College's Maria Contreras was named the Division I Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
Contreras, a sophomore setter from Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico, played in only one match last week due to Hurricane Milton.
Against nationally-ranked Daytona State College, she record 50 assists and 10 digs in the teams' five-set match. She also had seven kills and three service aces.
On Tuesday, Contreras was named FCSAA Division I Setter of the Week.
