
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The NJCAA announced its Weekly Awards on Wednesday and Daytona State College's Shaneil Buckley was named the Division I Women's Soccer Player of the Week.
Buckley, a freshman midfielder from Portmore, Jamaica, had a stellar week for the Falcons, scoring six goals and recording one assist for a total of 13 points over three matches.
Against Miami Dade, she assisted on the Falcons' first goal and scored the second in their 2-0 win. She recorded a hat trick in the Falcons' 15-0 win vs. Pasco-Hernando State and added another three-goal performance in a 5-0 win vs. USC-Lancaster.
It is the first time Buckley has been named the NJCAA Division I Player of the Week.
