CHARLOTTE, N.C. (September 21, 2022) - The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has announced its Player of the Week recipients for September 21.
Daytona State College took its second weekly award of the season when Lucia Guemes was named NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer Goalie of the Week.
Guemes is a sophomore from Ampuero, Spain.
She was in net for the full 90 minutes of the Falcons' 6-0 win at Cape Fear (N.C.) Community College, turning away all three shots on goal.
In just under 500 minutes of play this season, she has allowed only two goals.
