
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The NJCAA announced its Weekly Awards on Wednesday and Florida State College at Jacksonville's Tanaujeah Brown was named the Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Brown, a sophomore guard from Eustis, Fla., had a big week for the Manta Rays, averaging 26.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 4.7 steals and 1.3 blocks in three games.
She shot 57.7 percent (30-of-52) from the field, 64.7 percent (11-of-17) from three and 100.0 percent (7-of-7) from the line.
Brown led the Manta Rays to a 3-0 week behind three 24+ scoring outputs.
She tallied 25 points vs. Santa Fe then put together games of 29 and 24 points against Wake Tech and Louisburg, respectively, in a weekend event in the Tar Heel State.
On Tuesday, Brown was named FCSAA Player of the Week.
