Division II All-NJCAA Region 8 Women's Basketball Team Announced

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) announced its 2025 Division II All-NJCAA Region 8 women's basketball team on Thursday.

The six-member team was voted on by the region's two Division II women's basketball coaches. 

Headlining the team is NJCAA Region 8 Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Year, Tanaujeah Brown of Florida State College at Jacksonville. 

Brown, a sophomore guard from Eustis, Fla., has powered the Manta Rays to a 13-12 record with a region-best 20.3 points per game, which also ranks 16th nationally. 

She is also second in the region in assists (3.3 apg) and fourth in rebounds (6.9 rpg). 

Brown is one of two players to earn a repeat spot on the All-NJCAA Region 8 team.

Palm Beach State's Maureen Smith is the NJCAA Region 8 Division II Coach of the Year after guiding the Panthers to the region championship by virtue of winning the head-to-head regular season series against the Manta Rays. 

The Panthers will play in the Division II Gulf South District Championship Game on March 8 against the champion of the Alabama Community College Conference.

The All-NJCAA Region 8 team will be recognized following Saturday's regular season finale when FSCJ travels to Palm Beach State College.

Has played in 26 games...averaging 12.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists...shooting 38.1 percent from the field and 70.2 percent from the line.

Kyana Poitier, Palm Beach State
Freshman | Forward | Palm Beach, Fla.

Has played in 17 games...averaging 6.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game...shooting 52.7 percent from the field.

Isabelle Rivera, Palm Beach State

Has played in 26 games...averaging 10.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game...shooting 51.3 percent from the field and 76.0 percent from the line.
