CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Northwest Florida State College's Celia Riviere was named NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Riviere, a sophomore forward from Paris, France, averaged 21.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 0.5 steals in two games.
She shot 63.0 percent (17-of-27) from the field and 88.9 percent (8-of-9) from the free throw line, leading the Raiders to a pair of wins vs. ranked opponents.
Against Pensacola State, she had 29 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Then, against Gulf Coast State, she tallied 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists, helping the Raiders claim a share of the Panhandle Conference Championship.
Riviere was named NJCAA Region 8 Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
