CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Gulf Coast State College's Alieghya Bartholomew was named NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Bartholomew, a sophomore guard from Toronto, Ontario, Canada recorded a double-double in her only game of the week.
Behind her 36 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and one steal, the Commodores picked up a 50-point win over nationally-ranked Chipola College.
She shot 58.3 percent (14-of-24) from the field and 53.3 percent (8-of-15) from three.
Bartholomew was named NJCAA Region 8 Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
