
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Eastern Florida State College's Amelia Hassett was named NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Hassett, a sophomore forward from Albury, NSW, Australia, averaged 24.0 points, 13.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks in two games
She shot 65.4 percent (17-of-26) from the field, 63.6 percent (7-of-11) from three and 100.0 percent (7-of-7) from the free throw line.
Hassett led Eastern Florida State to a pair of wins, recording a double-double in each.
Against Florida SouthWestern State College, she tallied 27 points and 16 rebounds. Then, against St. Petersburg College, she finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Hassett was named NJCAA Region 8 Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
