CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The NJCAA announced its Weekly Awards on Wednesday and Indian River State College's J'dah Girigorie was named the Division I Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Girigorie, a sophomore righty from Willemstad, Curacao, went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in two appearances last week for the Pioneers.
She tossed complete-game shutouts vs. Chipola and the College of Southern Idaho, the latter in one-hit fashion.
In 14 total innings in the circle, Girigorie allowed only five hits and one walk while striking out 19.
On Tuesday, she was named FCSAA Division I Softball Player of the Week.
