FCSAA announces DI All-Conference Softball Teams

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) is pleased to announce its Division I All-Conference softball teams.

The All-Conference teams were selected by coaches from the FCSAA's Division I Citrus and Panhandle Conferences. 

In addition to a first- and second-team, coaches selected the following individual awards:

  • Citrus Conference Players of the Year: Caroline Mito, Miami Dade; Avery Velazquez, Eastern Florida State
  • Panhandle Conference Player of the Year: Sister Arnold, Northwest Florida State 
  • Citrus Conference Pitcher of the Year: J'dah Girigorie, Indian River State; Shaylen Byrd, Seminole State
  • Panhandle Conference Pitcher of the Year: Cailyn Heyl, Northwest Florida State

By virtue of winning their respective conferences, Florida SouthWestern's Robert Iamurri and Northwest Florida State's Andy Lee were recognized as the Coach of the Year for the Citrus and Panhandle, respectively.

The FCSAA Division I Softball Awards will be announced at 2 p.m., Monday, May 5.
