
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - St. Johns River State College's Princess Arredondo was named NJCAA Division II Softball Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Arredondo, a freshman catcher from Bushnell, Fla., batted .600 (12-for-20) with six runs scored, four home runs, 12 RBI and one stolen base in seven games.
She hit safely in each game, including four multi-hit efforts.
Arredondo had two hits in each game of a doubleheader vs. East Georgia State College then, against Lake-Sumter State College drove in three runs in game one of a three-game series and went 3-for-4 with two RBI in game three.
Arredondo was named NJCAA Region 8 Division II Softball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
