CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 3, 2019) - Florida SouthWestern State College's Sarah Lawton was named the NJCAA Division I Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Lawton, a sophomore right-hander from Waterbury, Conn., was named Region 8 Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.

In two appearances during the voting period, she was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA, highlighted by the first perfect game in school history against Polk State College. In the Bucs' 8-0 win, she struck out four en route to the five-inning victory. 

For the week, Lawton totaled six innings and didn’t allow a walk or a hit while striking out six.
