Tallahassee, FL - December 7th 2024 -  The Tallahassee State College men's basketball team secured a thrilling victory against Florida Southwestern, winning 81-76 in a closely contested game. The match, held at the Tallahassee State College gymnasium, showcased the team's resilience and skill, leading to a well-deserved win.

Key Performances:

  • Turner Harris had a solid performance, scoring 12 points, including two three-pointers, and contributing 5 assists and 3 rebounds.
  • Tahj Johnson was a standout player, scoring 15 points with an impressive 70% field goal percentage, and adding 5 assists and 4 rebounds.
  • Justin Britt added 13 points, making all 7 of his free throws, and grabbed 3 rebounds.
  • Julius Clark also scored 13 points, with 4 rebounds and 1 assist.
  • Jay King Jr. came off the bench to score a game-high 20 points, including 4 three-pointers, and was perfect from the free-throw line.

The team's overall shooting was outstanding, shooting 55.3% from the field and from three. Their defensive efforts were big as well holding FSW to 40% from the field and 33% from three.

The victory improves The Eagles to 9-3 and look to capatalize on a good performance as they play Polk tomorrow. The Eagles game tomorrow is slated for 2pm ET and is their final game at home before two straight road games.
