TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida College System Activities Association announced its Division I All-FCSAA/All-NJCAA Region 8 men's basketball team on Tuesday.
Headlining the 12-member team is FCSAA Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Year Owen Aquino of Eastern Florida State College.
The FCSAA Player of the Year is voted on by members of the FCSAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee.
Aquino, a sophomore forward from Madrid, Spain, was previously voted the Citrus Conference Player of the Year after averaging 15.1 points, 8.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 29 games for the Titans. He has also shot an impressive 60.3 percent from the field, 31.9 percent from three and 60.8 percent from the free throw line.
Aquino was also named Region 8 Player of the Week on February 20.
