
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The NJCAA announced its Weekly Awards on Wednesday and Eastern Florida State College's Michael Benedict was named the Division I Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Benedict, a sophomore righty from Port St. Lucie, Fla., was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in one appearance last week.
He started and tossed six shutout innings in the Titans' 9-1 win vs. Daytona State. In the win, he allowed three hits and one walk while striking out 10.
On Tuesday, he was named FCSAA Division I Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
