CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Northwest Florida State College's Jaquae Stewart was named NJCAA Division I Baseball Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Stewart, a freshman first baseman from Sinton, Texas, was named the Most Outstanding Player of the FCSAA Division I Baseball Championship last weekend. 

In three games played in Tampa, Stewart led the team in runs batted in with a total of 11. His impressive stats consisted of six hits, one double, and one home run. Particularly noteworthy was his standout performance in the Championship Game against Chipola College, where Stewart went 3-for-4, smashing one double, one home run, and accumulating six RBIs.

Stewart's efforts helped Northwest Florida State win the FCSAA Division I Baseball Championship.
