TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – George M. Steinbrenner Field, the Spring Training home of the New York Yankees, will serve as the host site for the Florida College System Activities Association's (FCSAA) Division I Baseball Championship Round in 2024 and 2025.

Submitted on behalf of the New York Yankees, the bid was recommended by the FCSAA's Division I baseball coaches and approved by the FCSAA's Council for Athletic Affairs.

Located in Tampa, Fla., Steinbrenner Field is also home of the Tampa Tarpons, the Yankees' Class A affiliate, and includes Monument Park, where fans can see retired numbers and plaques of the Yankees' greatest icons.

To accommodate the Tarpons' home schedule, a portion of the 2024 event will be played on the adjacent Community Field, also part of the Yankees' spring training facility and home of the FCSAA's Hillsborough Community College Hawks.

"The FCSAA's postseason baseball tournament is, arguably, the most competitive and talent-laden in the NJCAA, and we're excited to bring the Division I Championship Round to Tampa and legendary George M. Steinbrenner Field," said Rob Chaney, Associate Director & Athletics Commissioner. "The New York Yankees are synonymous with excellence, both on- and off-the-field, and the FCSAA looks forward to collaborating on an event that will provide a first-class experience for the student-athletes, coaches and fans."

The FCSAA Division I Baseball Championship begins with an April 30 play-in game between the Panhandle Conference's third-place team and the sixth-place finisher from the Citrus Conference, with the winner moving into the field of eight teams who will play at four regional sites in a best-of-three series, May 3-6. Each regional winner will advance to the Championship Round, where the winner of the four-team, double-elimination bracket will punch its ticket to the NJCAA Division I World Series in Grand Junction, Colo.

"The Yankees are excited to host the 2024 and 2025 FCSAA Division I Baseball Championship Rounds at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa," said Anthony Bruno, Yankees Senior Vice President and Yankees Global Enterprises CFO.

"Supporting baseball at the youth, high school and collegiate levels has been a longstanding priority of the (New York Yankees) organization, and we look forward to working in conjunction with the FCSAA to shine a big-league spotlight on the best junior college baseball programs in Florida."

The 2024 event will take place Friday-Monday, May 10-13.
