Region 8 well-represented in MLB Draft

2022 MLB Draft

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (July 20, 2022) - Major League Baseball's 2022 Draft is in the books, and a number of current and former student-athletes at Region 8 schools heard their name called.

Beginning with Chipola College's Cam Collier, who was drafted in the 1st round (18th pick overall) by the Cincinatti Reds, 13 current Region 8 student-athletes were selected in this year's draft.

Additionally, 11 former Region 8 standouts were selected over the course of the 20-round draft.
