TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (May 5, 2022) - The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) and NJCAA South Atlantic District Baseball Tournament, hosted by Polk County Tourism and Sports Marketing, begins Friday, May 6 at four regional sites across the state and concludes Sunday, May 15 in Lakeland, Fla.
The 2022 event features the traditional eight-team field, comprised of two teams from each of the FCSAA's four conferences but will employ a new format en route to crowning a champion and qualifer for the NJCAA Division I World Series in Grand Junction, Colo.
For the first time, the tournament will take place over two weekends, beginning with a best-of-3 series hosted by the four conference champions. Game 1 will take place Friday, May 6 while Game 2 and Game 3, if necessary, will be played on Saturday, May 7.
Mid-Florida Conference Champion College of Central Florida will host Tallahassee Community College, the Panhandle Conference Runners-up while Panhandle Champion Chipola College welcomes Mid-Florida Runners-up St. Johns River State to campus.
The Southern and Suncoast Conferences will go head-to-head in the other two regional pairings.
Southern Conference Champion Miami Dade College will host Suncoast Runners-up Polk State College while Suncoast Champion Florida SouthWestern State College hosts Southern Runners-up Indian River State College.
Regional play will be streamed by each of the host sites.
The regional winners will advance to Lakeland, Fla., where a four-team, double-elimination bracket will be played at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium, the traditional home of the FCSAA Championship, beginning Thursday, May 12.
The Championship Game will be played at 5 p.m., Saturday, May 14 at 5 p.m. with the "if game" scheduled for 11 a.m. the following day.
All games in Lakeland will be streamed on the FCSAA Digital Network.

In Lakeland, tickets can be purchased at the gate. A tournament pass costs $40 while an adult day pass is $15 and a child's day pass is $10.
