CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 5, 2021) - The National Junior College Athletic Association announced its Player of the Week Awards on Wednesday.

Northwest Florida State College's Caleb Reis was named the Division I Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Reis, a freshman right-hander from Marietta, Ga., went 2-0 with a 0.60 ERA in two appearances last week.

He beat Gulf Coast State with a six-inning start then pitched a complete game shutout to beat Pensacola State in the season finale to clinch a postseason berth for the Raiders. 

Reis totaled 15 innings and allowed two runs (one earned), eight hits and four walks while striking out 18. 

He was named NJCAA Region 8 Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.
