TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (May 21, 2019) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its final NJCAA Region 8 Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week selections for games played at the FCSAA State Tournament.

NJCAA Region 8 Baseball Player of the Week
Connor Kehl, Chipola
So. – RF
Eden Prairie, Minn. 

• Batted .440 (11-for-25) with seven runs scored, three doubles, one triple, two home runs and nine RBI in six games at the FCSAA State Tournament
• Was named the Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player after leading Chipola to its third straight state championships
• Hit safely in the final five games, including four multi-hit games and a pair of three-hit outings

NJCAA Region 8 Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Andrew Moore, Chipola
Fr. - RHP
Flovilla, Ga. 

• 3-0, 3.00 ERA in three appearances at the FCSAA State Tournament
• Named the Tournament’s Most Outstanding Pitcher while helping Chipola to its third straight state championship
• Picked up all three wins in relief, including the clinching game vs. Northwest Florida State
• In nine total innings, he allowed three earned runs, six hits and 10 walks while striking out 10
