CHARLOTTE, N.C. (February 22, 2019) - St. Johns River State College's Anthony Simonelli was named NJCAA Division I Baseball Pitcher of the Week on Thursday.

Simonelli, a sophomore right-hander from Winchester, Va., was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in one appearance during the voting period. In his only outing, he pitched a seven-inning perfect game in game two of a doubleheader vs. South Georgia State. 

He struck out 12. 

Simonelli was named Region 8 Baseball Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.
