All-FCSAA Beach Volleyball Team Announced

BRADENTON, Fla. – The Florida College System Activities Association announced its All-FCSAA/All-NJCAA Region 8 Beach Volleyball team on Thursday evening. 

The team was introduced prior to the opening match of the FCSAA Beach Volleyball Championship at UMR Sports in Bradenton. 

Palm Beach State College's Ana Paula Fallas Cruz was named the 2024 FCSAA Beach Volleyball Player of the Year.

Cruz, a sophomore from Heredia, Costa Rica, was a member of the Panthers' National Championship team in 2023 and has led them to a 16-8 record this season. 

That wasn't the only major award Cruz received, as she and teammate Zuzanna Michalska were recognized as the FCSAA Beach Volleyball Pair of the Year. 

Michalska, a sophomore from Warsaw, Poland, transferred to Palm Beach State after playing her freshman season at Spartanburg (S.C.) Methodist College. 

The duo has been recognized as the FCSAA Pair of the Week on four separate occasions during the 2024 campaign. 

The FCSAA Player of the Year and Pair of the Year is voted on by the FCSAA's Beach Volleyball Coaches. 

As Player of the Year, Cruz led the First-team All-FCSAA honorees and was joined by Berklee Andrews, Lake-Sumter State College; Leanne Blue, Lake-Sumter State College; Hannah Hamill, St. Johns River State College; and Michalska. 

Second-team All-FCSAA honorees were Marilyn Cesaro, Palm Beach State College; Camryn Deem St. Johns River State College; Kaylee Hunt Lake-Sumter State College; Martina Soler Marti, Florida State College at Jacksonville; and Hana Roberts, Florida State College at Jacksonville. 

In addition to the Cruz/Michalska selection, also being named an All-FCSAA Pair were Martina Soler Marti & Hana Roberts, Florida State College at Jacksonville; Leanne Blue & Cassidy Rountree, Lake-Sumter State College; Braelyn Mittauer & Jayden Ponsford, Lake-Sumter State College; and Hannah Hamill & Camryn Deem, St. Johns River State College.
