COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 4, 2015) - The NJCAA released its final women's basketball poll on Wednesday and Region 8 has put itself in the conversation for an at-large berth to the national tournament.

Chipola College, who went wire-to-wire as the No. 1 team in the FCSAA Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll, ends the season ranked No. 2, leading six teams from Region 8 in the top 25.

Northwest Florida State College, the FCSAA's No. 2 team, climbed two spots to No. 3 and Daytona State College, ranked third in the FCSAA poll, made a five-spot jump to No. 10.

The College of Central Florida slipped five spots to No. 15 while Eastern Florida State College checked in at No. 19 and Gulf Coast State College, No. 21.

All six teams qualified for the NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA State Tournament in Ocala, Fla., March 4-7, and with four at-large berths available to the NJCAA Tournament in Salina, Kan., each will have an excellent opportunity to enhance its resumes for the NJCAA At-large Committee.

Four of the six nationally-ranked teams will meet up in the quarterfinals - Daytona State will face Northwest Florida State and Eastern Florida State will take on Gulf Coast State.
