COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 25, 2015) - The NJCAA released its weekly basketball polls on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In the women's poll, a loss by previous No. 2 Trinity Valley (Texas) Community College opened the door for Chipola College to move into the spot, trailing only Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College. The Indians are 27-1 and clinched the outright Panhandle Conference Championship with a win in the season finale over Northwest Florida State College, who remained No. 5.

The College of Central Florida stayed put at No. 10 while Daytona State College continued its late-season surge, climbing three spots to No. 15.

No. 23 Eastern Florida State College and No. 25 Gulf Coast State College give Region 8 six teams in the top 25. Tallahassee Community College fell out of the poll for the first time during the regular season but still received votes.

The final women's rankings will be released Wednesday, March 4.

Meanwhile, the NJCAA released its final men's poll on Tuesday.

Northwest Florida State, following a loss to Gulf Coast State College, slipped two spots to No. 5 while Eastern Florida State remained at No. 6 and St. Petersburg College checked in at No. 20 for the second straight week.
