The next poll will be released Tuesday, February 24.

NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Men’s Basketball Player of
the Week
Kyle Meyer, Eastern Florida State

Eastern Florida State College’s Kyle Meyer is this week's NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Meyer, a sophomore from Johns Creek, Ga., averaged 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.5 blocks in two games during the voting period. He came up with a pair of 20-point outings, including a double-double – 20 points and 10 rebounds – against Miami Dade on February 14 to help the Titans clinch their third straight Southern Conference Championship. He also dished out four assists and recorded two blocks in the win over the Sharks. For the week, Meyer shot 58.6 percent (17-of-29) from the floor, 42.9 percent (3-of-7) from the three-point line and hit all six of his free throw attempts.
Player of the Week Honorable Mention
- Wesley Alcegaire, Daytona State – 18 points and eight rebounds in his only game of the week vs. Florida State College at Jacksonville
- Daemon Ashley, Pasco-Hernando State – averaged 27.5 points in two games
- Demetrius McReynolds, Eastern Florida State – averaged 22.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in two games
- Mikhail Rolle, Broward – 26 points and 11 rebounds in his only game of the week vs. Indian River State
NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Women’s Basketball Player of
the Week
Shayla Wilson, St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg College’s Shayla Wilson is this week's NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Wilson, a sophomore from Tampa, Fla., averaged 21.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals in two games during the voting period. She recorded a double-double – 17 points and 14 rebounds – to lead the Titans to a 74-66 upset of Eastern Florida State on February 10 then came back with a 25-point effort in a win over Palm Beach State four days later to help St. Petersburg stay in contention for the Southern Conference Championship. For the week, Wilson shot 48.6 percent (18-of-37) from the floor, 37.5 percent (3-of-8) from the three-point line and hit 3-of-5 free throw attempts.

- Evelyn Akhator, Chipola – 24 points and 20 rebounds in her only game of the week vs. Gulf Coast State
- Imari Brown, Miami Dade – averaged 24.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games
