Central Florida holds at No. 2; Seminole State, Indian River State, Chipola all rise in NJCAA softball poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 22, 2015) - Led by No. 2 College of Central Florida, four schools from Region 8 will carry top seven rankings to the postseason. 

The Patriots, who are ranked No. 1 in the FCSAA Softball Coaches' Poll and won its first-ever Mid-Florida Conference Championship, trail only Salt Lake (Utah) Community College, in the Marucci NJCAA Division I Softball Poll. 

Seminole State College, the Mid-Florida Conference Runners-up, was the big mover inside the top ten, jumping three spots to No. 4. Indian River State College, the Southern Conference Runners-up, climbed two spots to No. 5, and Panhandle Conference Champion Chipola College moved up two spots to No. 7.
