TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in Volleyball, Soccer and Cross Country.


FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events August 26-September 1)

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received Player of the Week recognition:

  • FCSAA DI Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week: Leia Lund, Daytona State
  • FCSAA DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Nina Boledovicova, Florida SouthWestern
  • FCSAA DI Volleyball Setter of the Week: Camilla Brandalise, Florida SouthWestern
  • FCSAA DII Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week: Kya Colston, Gulf Coast State
  • FCSAA DII Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Morgan Langley, Gulf Coast State
  • FCSAA DII Volleyball Setter of the Week: Brunna Marinari, Pensacola State
  • FCSAA Men's Soccer Player of the Week: Hector Moreno, Daytona State
  • FCSAA Women's Soccer Player of the Week: Lili Baidoe, Eastern Florida State
  • FCSAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week: Evan Casterline, Daytona State
  • FCSAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week: Landry Wagoner, Pensacola State

Fall Sports Updates

  • Cross Country: 
    • Men: Four schools participated in the UCF Cross Country Invitational on Friday with Daytona State finishing first with 21 points behind a 1-4 finish, led by Evan Casterline. Seminole State finished second followed by Pasco-Hernando State and Lake-Sumter State.
    • Women: In a highly competitive race featuring six FCSAA schools, Seminole State came out on top at the UCF Cross Country Invitational with 30 points, led by individual winner Morgan Harvill. Pasco-Hernando State was close behind in second with 32 points, followed by Daytona State, South Florida State, Central Florida and Lake-Sumter State. Meanwhile, in Oxford, Ala., Gulf Coast State's program debut ended with a 14th-place finish at the Foothills Invitational. Pensacola State brought home a fourth-place finish at the Azalea City Classic.
  • Women's Soccer
    • DII: Pensacola State scored the biggest win in its young history, knocking off No. 13 Pearl River 2-1 last Tuesday. The Pirates narrowly missed taking down No. 5 Holmes, falling by the same 2-1 score three days later.
