TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in Soccer.

FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events September 23-29)

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received recognition for their outstanding performance in athletic competition:

• FCSAA Men's Soccer Player of the Week: Facundo Ochoa, Miami Dade
• FCSAA Women's Soccer Player of the Week: Julia Gurgel, Miami Dade

Weekly Award winners in cross country and volleyball were not selected due to cancellations resulting from Hurricane Helene.

  • DI: NJCAA rankings - (1) Miami Dade, (2) Florida SouthWestern, (15) Eastern Florida State, (17) Daytona State, (18) Hillsborough
  • DII: NJCAA rankings - (7) Gulf Coast State, (10) Pensacola State, (RV) Palm Beach State
• Men's Soccer
  • DI: NJCAA rankings - (7) Miami Dade, (8) Eastern Florida State, (10) Daytona State
• Women's Soccer
  • DI: NJCAA rankings - (13) Eastern Florida State, (14) Daytona State, (17) Miami Dade
  • DII: NJCAA rankings - (17) Pensacola State
• Men's Golf - Eastern Florida State finished fifth at the Chuck Kalanick Memorial in Union Grove, Ala.
• Women's Golf - At the Pat Bradley Invitational, hosted by FIU, Daytona State placed tenth (+30) to lead three FCSAA schools in team scoring. Palm Beach State (+49) was 13th and Seminole State (+53), 14th. Meanwhile, in Union Grove, Ala., Florida Gateway (+67) finished in a tie for second at the Snead State Fall Invitational.
