TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has released its Division I Basketball Polls and announced Weekly Awards in Basketball.


November 11, 2024, Coaches' Polls

FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events November 4-10)

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received recognition for their outstanding performance in athletic competition:

  • FCSAA DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Fredy-Salam Sylla, Eastern Florida State
  • FCSAA DII Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Aiden Fletcher, Florida State College at Jacksonville
  • FCSAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Tanaujeah Brown, Florida State College at Jacksonville

Fall Sports Updates

  • Men's Cross Country
    • DI: Eastern Florida State finished 23rd and Seminole State, 25th, at the NJCAA DI Cross Country Championships. The Titans' Morgan Vici was the top individual finisher, crossing the line in 100th place with a time of 26:33.9
    • DII: Daytona State led FCSAA's in team scoring, finishing sixth at the NJCAA DII Cross Country Championships. Pasco-Hernando State finished 13th; Lake-Sumter State, 21st; Florida State College at Jacksonville, 24th; and Florida Gateway, 32nd. The Falcons' Evan Casterline (3rd) and Joel Jean (5th) both earned First-team All-American honors. 
  • Women's Cross Country
    • DI: Seminole State finished 17th and Eastern Florida State, 22nd, at the NJCAA DI Cross Country Championships. The Raiders' Morgan Harvill was the top individual finisher, crossing the line in 47th place with a time of 18:57.1.
    • DII: Pasco-Hernando State finished seventh in team scoring, to lead the FCSAA contingent at the NJCAA DII Cross Country Championships. Daytona State came in 16th; Gulf Coast State, 23rd; Florida Gateway, 25th; South Florida State, 27th; Lake-Sumter State, 31st; Florida State College at Jacksonville, 32nd; Central Florida, 33rd; and Tallahassee State, 40th. The Bobcats' Emelyn Lacour finished 17th and was the FCSAA's top individual finisher. 
  • Volleyball
    • DI: Florida SouthWestern and Miami Dade claimed the Atlantic District Championships on Saturday, beating USC Sumter and USC Lancaster, respectively. With the wins, both teams claimed automatic bids to the NJCAA Tournament. 
    • DII: Pensacola State won its second straight FCSAA Championship on Saturday, knocking off Gulf Coast State, 3-1. The Pirates claimed the automatic bid to the NJCAA Tournament while the Commodores will hope to grab an at-large bid.
