TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in Basketball.

December 16, 2024, Coaches' Polls

FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events December 9-15)

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received recognition for their outstanding performance in athletic competition:

  • FCSAA DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Hassan Belkhaddar, Miami Dade
  • FCSAA DII Men's Basketball Player of the Week: Alex McCray, Florida State College at Jacksonville
  • FCSAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week: Samantha Serrano, Florida SouthWestern

Fall Sports Updates

  • Men's Basketball
    • DI rankings: (12) Daytona State, (13) Northwest Florida State, (14) Chipola, (24) Eastern Florida State, (RV) Tallahassee State 
    • DII rankings: (12) Florida State College at Jacksonville 
  • Women's Basketball
    • DI rankings: (2) Northwest Florida State, (7) Gulf Coast State, (11) Chipola, (18) Florida SouthWestern, (20) Pensacola State, (23) Eastern Florida State
    • DII rankings: (12) Palm Beach State
  • Swimming & Diving: Indian River State College hosted Florida Southern on December 13 and won all 28 events contested en route to a sweep. The men won by a score of 212.5-49.5 while the women were victorious, 187-75.
