TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida College System Activities Association has announced its Weekly Awards in Volleyball and Soccer.

FCSAA Weekly Awards (for all events through August 25)

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received Player of the Week recognition:

  • FCSAA DI Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week: Julija Grubisic Cabo, Florida SouthWestern
  • FCSAA DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Mia Martinez, Miami Dade
  • FCSAA DI Volleyball Setter of the Week: Camilla Brandalise, Florida SouthWestern
  • FCSAA DII Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week: Patrycja Kabala, Palm Beach State
  • FCSAA DII Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week: Lauren Herz, St. Johns River State
  • FCSAA DII Volleyball Setter of the Week: Emma Richardson, Palm Beach State
  • FCSAA Men's Soccer Player of the Week: Mukisa Emmanuel, Eastern Florida State
  • FCSAA Women's Soccer Player of the Week: Klarissa Zawosky, Pasco-Hernando State

Fall Sports Updates

  • Men's Soccer: Playing its first match in close to 35 years, Miami Dade knocked off defending national champion Monroe, 1-0, on August 22.
  • Women's Soccer
    • Division I: Miami Dade enjoyed a successful program debut, defeating Angelina, 5-3, on August 22.
    • Division II: Pasco-Hernando State picked up its first win against an NJCAA opponent in school history, defeating Wake Tech, 4-0, on August 23. 
  • Cross Country: The FCSAA regular season kicks off this weekend, including the program debut for Gulf Coast State, who runs at the Foothills Invitational in Oxford, Ala.
  • Volleyball
    • Division I: Hillsborough's Gary Larkin and Florida SouthWestern's Thais Baziquetto-Allen recorded milestone victories on the same day at the Battle at the Beach Tournament. Larkin picked up career win #500 while Baziquetto-Allen notched the 200th win of her career.
