2023-24 NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The NJCAA has announced its 2023-24 All-Academic Teams and Academic Teams of the Year, recognizing student-athletes across the country for their dedication in the classroom.
This year, a total of 12,245 student-athletes were honored for achieving a GPA of 3.60 or above. The criteria for the three All-Academic teams are:
- NJCAA All-Academic First Team: 4.00 GPA
- NJCAA All-Academic Second Team: 3.80-3.99 GPA
- NJCAA All-Academic Third Team: 3.60-3.79 GPA
The FCSAA produced 696 All-Academic honorees, 140 more recipients than a year ago, including 179 on the First-team for having achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA. Second-team honorees totaled 235 and 282 earned Third-team recognition.
The NJCAA also recognizes teams who earn a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and, this season, 1,194 teams hit the mark.
Daytona State College was tops in softball with a 3.81 GPA while the College of the Florida Keys garnered the highest team GPA (3.69) for women's swimming and diving.
In total, 78 FCSAA teams were recognized as Academic Teams of the Year, 13 more than a year ago:
