TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 12, 2022) - The Florida College System Activities Association has released its weekly coaches' polls and Player of the Week selections for baseball and softball.

Region 8 Player of the Week Awards (for games April 4-10)

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who received Player of the Week recognition:

• Region 8 Baseball Player of the Week: Owen Ayers, State College of Florida
• Region 8 Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Ethan Firoved, Tallahassee
• Region 8 Softball Player of the Week: Sterre den Duijn, Florida SouthWestern
• Region 8 Softball Pitcher of the Week: Belle Sardja, Florida SouthWestern

All Player of the Week honorees will be considered for NJCAA Player of the Week honors, which will be announced Wednesday.

Spring Championships Updates

• The Spring Championship Season gets underway this week when the FCSAA Women's Tennis Championships takes place at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs on Thursday and Friday, April 14 and 15.
