Runners cap fall season with NJCAA Half Marathon

Official Results: Men | Women

RICHMOND, Va. (November 17, 2021) – Region 8 runners capped their fall season with Tuesday's NJCAA Half Marathon Championships. 

Women's Recap 

Daytona State College and Pasco-Hernando State College competed in the women's event and placed eighth and ninth, respectively. 

Daytona State had the region's top two individuals finishers – Harleigh Crist, who placed 17th with a time of 1:32:17.7, and Juliet St. Angelo, who finished 22nd with a time of 1:34:25.3. 

Kyler Kanaar was Pasco-Hernando State's top runner. She placed 26th with a time of 1:36:05.4. Teammate Sydney Stoltzfoos crossed the finish line in 29th place with a time of 1:39:32.7. 

The Falcons' score of 69 points was just behind seventh-place Garden City (Kan.) Community College, who finished with 65 points. The Bobcats finished in eighth with 84 points. 

Men's Recap 

Region 8 was represented by runners from Daytona State and Tallahassee Community College. 

Daytona State's Andy Martinez placed 14th with a time of 1:07:58.1 to lead the Falcons' ninth-place finish (91 points). 

Tallahassee's Leo Rutledge crossed the line in 24th place with a time of 1:10:46.0, helping the Eagles place 15th (171 points) in the field of 21 teams and 110 total runners. 

With the 2021 cross country season officially in the books, attention now moves to the 2022 season, which will conclude with championship events in Tallahassee, Fla.
