NJCAA Region 8 Baseball/Softball Notebook: March 12

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 12, 2019) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its NJCAA Region 8 Baseball and Softball Coaches' Polls for March 12 and Player and Pitcher of the Week selections for games played March 4-10. 

The next poll and player of the week selections will be released March 19.

  • Batted .467 (7-for-15) with seven runs scored, one home run and nine RBIs in four games during the voting period
  • Led Seminole State to a series victory over top-ranked Central Florida and a game one win at St. Johns River State
  • Hit safely in each game and was a combined 3-for-7 with five RBIs in two wins vs. Central Florida

  • Threw a four-hit shutout in the Titans 6-0 win vs. Hillsborough
  • He walked one and struck out five

  • Batted .629 (22-for-35) with 17 runs scored, two doubles, one home run, nine RBIs and 12 stolen bases in ten games during the voting period
  • Hit safely in each game as the top-ranked Bucs remained undefeated
  • Against Jones and LSU-Eunice, she was a combined 6-for-7 with six runs scored and five stolen bases and was named to the All-Tournament team at the NFCA Leadoff Classic

  • Threw no-hitters vs. Kankakee and Chattahoochee Valley
  • Recorded the save vs. Des Moines Area at the NFCA Leadoff Classic and was named to the All-Tournament team
  • For the week, she totaled 28.2 innings in the circle, allowing 12 hits, six runs (three earned) and seven walks while striking out 43
