TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 18, 2018) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its NJCAA Region 8 Men's and Women's Basketball Coaches' Polls for December 18 and Player of the Week selections for games played December 10-16.
The next poll and player of the week selections will be released January 8.

NJCAA Region 8 Men's Basketball Player of the Week

- Averaged 27.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.3 steals in three games during the voting period
- Shot 74.4 percent (29-of-39) from the field, 70.4 percent (19-of-27) from the three-point line and 83.3 percent (5-of-6) from the free throw line
- Led Chipola to a 3-0 week, including wins over Southern Union and South Georgia Tech in last weekend's Chipola College Classi
- Had 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting (5-of-7 threes) and six assists against Southern Union; hit seven threes for the second time during the week as part of a 26-point effort against South Georgia Tech

Sophomore – Guard
Winter Haven, Fla.
- Averaged 31.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 5.0 steals in two games during the voting period
- Shot 58.8 percent (20-of-34) from the floor and 70.0 percent (21-of-30) from the free throw line; also hit two of her six three-point attempts
- Led Hillsborough to wins in both of its games
- Against ASA Miami, she had 24 points, eight rebounds and six assists; the next day she posted 39 points, seven rebounds, five assists and seven steals in 89-61 win vs. Florida State College-Jacksonville
