TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 28, 2017) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its NJCAA Region 8 Baseball and Softball Coaches' Polls for February 28 and Player and Pitcher of the Week selections for games played February 20-26. 

The next poll and player of the week selections will be released March 7.

• Batted .500 (5-for-10) with four runs scored, one double, two home runs, six RBIs and one stolen base in four games during the voting period
• Led Chipola to a perfect 4-0 week with two wins over Shelton State and one each against State College of Florida and St. Johns River State
• Hit safely in all four games and finished the weekend with home runs in consecutive games against St. Johns River State and Shelton State
• Was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBI vs. St. Johns River State; homered and drove in three runs vs. Shelton State

• Threw seven shutout innings in Palm Beach State's 6-0 win over Seminole State on February 25
• Allowed only four hits and one walk while striking out ten

NJCAA Region 8 Softball Player of the Week

• Batted .579 (11-for-19) with two doubles, one home run and nine RBIs in six games during the voting period
• Helped Seminole State to five wins in six games, including sweeps of Polk State and South Florida State
• Hit safely in all six games, including multi-hit outings in the first three games of the week
• Was 5-for-7 with two runs scored and four RBI in the doubleheader vs. Polk State
• Top game of the week came in game one vs. St. Petersburg when she was 3-for-4 with a homer and five RBIs
