TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 20, 2016) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) has released its NJCAA Region 8 Men's and Women's Basketball Coaches' Polls for December 20 and Player of the Week selections for games played December 12-18.
The next poll and player of the week selections will be released January 10.

- Averaged 22.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 0.5 steals in two games during the voting period
- Shot 61.3 percent (19-of-31) from the field and 75.0 percent (6-of-8) from the free throw line
- Helped Indian River State to victories over Florida State College at Jacksonville and Santa Fe
- Shot 10-of-15 from the floor and scored 23 points in the win over Florida State College. Followed that with a 21-point, 14-rebound double-double in a win over Santa Fe

NJCAA Region 8 Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Jas Hill, Tallahassee
Freshman – Guard
Mobile, Ala.
- Averaged 24.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 1.0 block in two games during the voting period
- Shot 41.7 percent (15-of-36) from the floor, 46.2 percent (12-of-26) from the three-point line and 75.0 percent (6-of-8) from the free throw line
- Helped nationally-ranked Tallahassee extend its winning streak to 10 games with victories over Florida State College at Jacksonville and NJCAA No.15 Walters State
- Posted a double-double – 27 points and 10 rebounds – and tied a school record with eight three-pointers in the 97-76 win over Florida State College. Added 21 points in the Eagles' 19-point win over Walter State.
