Kelly Warren took over the reins as Executive Director of the FCSAA in December 2014. Under her leadership, the FCSAA has added a new academic division and several new sanctioned sports.  Kelly has also led the building of a new FCSAA website and dramatically increased the association’s social media presence, finding new ways to reach out to students and get them more engaged in our programs. Her most recent accomplishment has been developing and implementing a new staffing structure for the organization that better prepares us for future growth.

Prior to coming onboard with the FCSAA, Kelly led a vibrant Student Life program that included traditional activities programming, leadership development, Student Government, clubs and organizations, service-learning, recreation, and more at Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Kent Campus for 20 years. Additionally, for ten of those years, she served concurrently as the college-wide director of FSCJ’s multi-campus Student Life program. Kelly came to us with nine years’ experience on the Executive Board of the Student Government division of the FCSAA, including four years as State Advisor and as a member of the FCSAA Executive Committee.

Kelly was inducted into the FCSAA Hall of Fame in 2008, was named National Programming Advisor of the Year by the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities in 2011, and was awarded the Association of Florida College’s Dr. Charles Dassance Student Development Award in 2014. She is most grateful for being named the first recipient of the Student Government Vee Severs-Choate Advisor of the Year Award, named for her dear friend and mentor Vee. Other Student Government recognitions include numerous District Advisor of the Year recognitions and the Bob Graham Distinguished Service Award.

Kelly is a product of the Florida College System, having earned her Associate of Arts degree at FSCJ (then Florida Junior College) before earning a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a master’s degree in English from Florida State University.

Kelly volunteers her time as a shelter photographer for two municipal animal shelters and one private rescue group and as the primary chapter advisor for her college sorority, Chi Omega. She has been recognized as the Florida State University Panhellenic Advisor of the Year for her work with Chi Omega and has also been selected to participate in Chi Omega’s Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute. She and her husband Benny have twin girls who attend Florida State University and perform as members of the FSU Marching Chiefs. She loves spending time outdoors, playing around in her art studio, and enjoying her husband’s excellent Southern cooking!
