GULF SHORES, Ala. (November 19, 2016) - The cross country season concluded on Saturday with the NJCAA Half Marathon.

Chipola College, Pasco-Hernando State College and Tallahassee Community College represented Region 8 in the 13.1 mile race. 

In team scoring, Pasco-Hernando State and Tallahassee tied for 9th with 102 points apiece. 

The top individual runner was Tallahassee's Samantha Reilly, who crossed the finish line in 1:37:29, good for 29th place. 

Pasco-Hernando State's Kylyn Burbine and Cynthia Negron finished in 34th (1:39:24) and 35th (1:40:13), respectively. 

Chipola's top runner was Jayde Smelcer, who finished 42nd with a time of 1:49:52.
